Slow Cooker Recipe
If you've got a busy lifestyle and in many cases, don't have enough time to prepare a good meal for your and your family, then perhaps it's time you discovered a slow cooker recipe to help save you a little time and still provide a great meal for you and your family. Slow cooker recipes are usually pretty simple and require little work on your part so you can go about your normal daily activities. Not sure what type of slow cooker recipe is going to work? Most slow cooker recipes require that you allow at least 4 hours for you meal to cook properly, and it's OK to go over that time so you'll most likely be preparing these meals in the morning. When finished, the slow cooker recipe would have provided a great meal that required very little prep time. You'll be completely satisfied with the results and so will your family. Slow Cooker Recipes
Chicken Slow Cooker Recipe
Ingredients:
6-8 lb roaster
8 red potatoes
4 celery sticks
1 Vidalia Onion
2 heads garlic(yes heads)
1 stick softened butter
4-8 pcs. frozen corn
Cooking Directions:
1. Cut the potatoes and the onion into small to medium chunks.
2. Chop the celery in 1/4's.
3. Place all of these items in the bottom of the slow cooker.
4. Peel 1 head of garlic and put 3 or 4 cloves to the side. Break the remaning garlic and place them in the slow cooker.
5. Press the other garlic and mix it with the butter mixture. Rub the butter mixture under skin and on top of legs and wings. Take the other head and put in cavity. Place the chicken on top of vegetables in the slow cooker.
6. Cook the chicken on high in the slow cooker for about 5 hours.
7. Take the chicken out of the slow cooker and if it falls off the skin, place it in the oven and cook it at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
8. Add the corn to the vegetables and prepare gravy out of the juices. Serve and enjoy!
Beef And Gravy Slow Cooker Recipe
Ingredients:
2 to 3 pounds of beef roast cut into small chunks
1 packet of onion soup mix
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
Directions:
1. Place the beef chunks into the crockpot, sprinkle the packet of soup mix over the beef chunks, and then pour the cream of mushroom soup over the top of everything.
2. Cook on high for at least 6 hours or until the beef is cooked through.
3. Stir half way through the cook time, or at the end if you would like. Serve with potatoes or pasta and enjoy!
Beef And Potatoe Stew Slow Cooker Recipe
Ingredients:
2 pounds of beef
1/4 cup of flour
1 tsp. of paprika
4 large carrots
3 large potatoes
1 can of condensed beef broth
1 1/2 tsp. of salt
1/2 tsp. of pepper
1/3 cup of soy sauce
1 large onion
1 can of tomatoe sauce (8 oz.)
Directions:
1. Place all of the carrots and potatoes in a layer at the bottom of your slow cooker.
2. Add the meat as the next layer.
3. Add the soy sauce, salt, paprika, pepper & flour over the top of the meat. (You can mix flour and spices in a separate bowl to keep from clumping if you would like.)
4. Spread this out with the chopped onions, then add the tomatoe and beef broth over the top.
5. Cook on high for at least 6 hours and enjoy.
